 April 2015

Traveling back from London after a fantastic show at Excel in London 'The Stitching, Sewing and Quilting Show', I was so sad and very much appalled at the amount of litter strewn on the embankments of the A1.

For over fifty miles there was heaps of litter and rubbish most of which was plastic carrier bags!

As such I have created these eco friendly, 100% cotton, reusable bags which  can be neatly folded and put inside your handbag ready for when you need them. They feature some of my original sketches, felt works and photographs and can be purchased from my shop 'fantasytextiles' on Etsy.com.

I have had so many positive and lovely comments about  my article 'Felt and Fashion'  in Felt Matters Issue 118 - March 2015!

Just wanted to say a 'Big Thank You' to Joan, the Editor for asking me to write it and to all you lovely ladies for your super comments. : )

A big thank you to Viv and Kevin from ArtVanGo and to all the interesting and lovely people who stopped by to enquire about my work.  I had a fabulous response, both to my new body of work based on cave art entitled 'Les Animaux' and to my book 'Felt and Fibre Art' which continues to sell well.  I received several commissions and lots of interest in my workshops and lectures as a result.

Finally, for now anyway, thanks to FeltMatters, the official journal of the International Felt Makers Association for the double  page spread of my new work 'Les Animaux', and Sheila Smith's super review of my book.

Also in Issue 121 of FeltMatters is an article (see below) about 'Crafty Retreats' who hold residential textile courses in rural France.  I am so looking forward to my weeks teaching there in June 2016. See www.craftyretreats.com for further information.
